Your little one will be here before you know it! To help you best prepare for baby’s arrival, we’re offering some tips on some essential items that may be helpful.

When you’re expecting, it’s difficult to know exactly what you will need for your newborn and what products are best for you. To help we’ve created a checklist of all the baby essentials you might need during your pregnancy and for your newborn baby during the first few months.

Knowing what to shop for is key, so we’ve come up with a starter kit to check off all the boxes on your checklist, and help see you through the first few months of your beautiful baby’s life.

Here’s your ultimate checklist:

If you’re breastfeeding, you don’t really need any equipment though some nursing mothers like to have these items:

  • Lots of bibs
  • Burp cloths
  • Breast pump
  • Milk storage containers (here are some essential safety tips on storing breastmilk)
  • Nursing pillow
  • Nursing bras (if buying before baby is born, buy one cup size larger than your pregnant bra size)
  • Breast pads (disposable or washable)
  • Non-toxic treatment like lanolin or cooling gel pads for sore nipples

If you are formula feeding:

  • Lots of bibs
  • Burp cloths

  • Formula (be sure to check expiration dates and note the lot numbers in case of recalls)

Diapering:

If you are using re-usable cloth diapers:

  • Snaps, Velcro or safety pins to secure re-usable diapers
